Norton St Philip, passageway
behind the George

£795

Note from the Artist:
The George is a celebrated medieval inn in this village. It is the building on the right in the picture. I chose
this unassuming view because the main street facade, which is spectacular, has been illustrated many times before.

Chapel at Beckington
Artist's Catalogue No: 614
Pencil
Image size 14.0 x 19.3 cms
£550

Note from the Artist:
In the area covered by the book there are a number of 18th and 19th century non-conformist chapels,
of which this is a nice example. Increasingly they are falling out of use and being converted for other purposes.

Orchardleigh Church, piscina
Artist's Catalogue No: 619
Pencil
Image size 27.9 x 22.2 cms
£1295

Note from the Artist:
This is a delightful church which lies on a small island in a lake. The village and original main house were removed
to make way for the grounds of a larger house, and I think the lake was created at the same time. The church is mostly later 13th century,
one of my favourite periods of architecture. This piscina forms part of the exceptional decorations in the chancel. Old masonry which
has been used for century after century.

Old Dilton Church
Artist's Catalogue No: 621
Pencil
Image size 17.8 x 27.3 cms
£1350
|
|
Note from the Artist:
A rare survival of a church with 18th century box pews. It is now disused and cared for
by The Churches Conservation Trust. The gallery back left is not a choir stall or a private pew, but rather
the parish schoolroom, which was an integral part of the building and projected into the chancel.
